Nexxtep and Valdosta State University recently partnered to recognize Austin R. Baggett as this year’s recipient of the Nexxtep Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Computer Information Systems.
Below is Mr. Baggett’s impressive list of achievements:
- Computer Information Systems major with a 3.81 GPA
- Obtained Associates degree in Networking from Wiregrass Tech in 2014
- Works with VSU Network Services
- Experience in Networking & Programming
Mr. Baggett is expected to graduate from VSU in May of this year. The CS faculty at VSU selected Mr. Baggett as the recipient of this award based on his coursework, dedication and extracurricular achievements.
On Thursday, April 6th, we welcomed Mr. Baggett, his family and several faculty and staff members from VSU to our office for an award reception. Nexxtep’s Vice President and CTO Stuart Avera presented him with a framed certificate. Mr. Baggett will also receive $500 and will be recognized at VSU’s CS Awards Banquet next month.
This is our fourth year presenting the Nexxtep / VSU Scholarship. Previous winners are Andrew Wells (2016), Christopher Rich (2015), and David Gully (2014).
