The partners and staff at Nexxtep were proud to award the 5th Annual CIS Scholarship to Grant McCarty, a senior at Valdosta State University. Each year, Nexxtep partners with VSU to recognize a promising student excelling in and out of the classroom.
Grant McCarty is a Valdosta-native, nontraditional student who decided to return to Valdosta State last year when he found his calling in computing. While he has worked for the University Bookstore servicing computers for 2 and a half years, he now looks forward to the next chapter in his career as an IT professional in his hometown. Grant is scheduled to graduate in Summer 2019.
Nexxtep founded this scholarship as a way to show VSU support from the local business community, and we are excited that Grant has ambitions to stay in our area. We wish Grant the best of luck in his future endeavors!
